But if you do, the guesthouse is in a beautiful location near the sea and river. If you go in the summer, you can surf in the sea or kayak in the river. Both at walking distance. In the summer, I hear they occasionally have BBQ. Bike rental is 150 yen and the ride to the onsen is pleasant. Yuka-chan will help you out with recommendations of what to do and where to eat.

He welcomed us when we arrived and explained the beautiful property to us. The house, a traditional wooden structure, was very clean and newly renovated/restored with fireplace and comfortable beds. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms and 2 separate toilets which was comfortable for 7 of us. It was a joy to stay in the place which had a full kitchen with modern appliances and generous dining ware - we even had shabu-shabu one night! There is a private zen garden against a backdrop of forest greenery. Perfect for quiet time and relaxation. Also, best to drive there (free parking) and it's close to attractions and hiking trails. We will certainly return.
