The property was the perfect getaway for us on our way to Mt Aso. Located in the mountain it gave us the opportunity to relax completely. Despite the staff not being able to speak much English, we were taken care of in the best way possible.

Ontbijt was prima niets op aan te merken. De accommodatie was prima heel ruim huis voor ons vieren. De omgeving was heel mooi in een rustige bosrijke om geving. Ken de eigenaar van het huis is een heel behulpzame aardige man.

Hokkoma Aso Private cottage 1棟貸しコテージ南阿蘇, een accommodatie met een tuin en een terras, ligt in Aso, op 35 km van Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 45 km van Suizenji Park, en 46 km van Hosokawa Residence... Exclusive and charming. The wood fire stove was our entertainment :P Mayumi who manages the cottage and the cafe next to it was gracious and ensured we were comfortable. PS: the breakfast AND christmas stollen were delicious!

大観峰と阿蘇山を望む!!二棟のプレミアム古民家宿 is gelegen in Aso, op 35 km van Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto en 43 km van Kasteel Kumamoto. What a warm welcome in a great house with a very tasteful design combining traditional feel with very modern comfort. Amazing attention to detail. Magnificent views.

If you have a car, location is excellent with a separate Onsen only steps away, where they offer public and private rooms. It's also convenient to get to the trails of Mt Aso and other local sightseeing. The home itself if wonderful with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 western, 1 tatami mats), and a full bath on main level with kitchen, dining, living, and many electronics available to use. They are even very generous with some supplies in the refrigerator (which we greatfully used as we forgot to buy Mayo at the store) and access to some shochu (which we conservatively sampled a few of the open bottles). The views are wonderful and we were there in the autumn and you could see the colors of the valley. We would HIGHLY recommend. We did exploring and hiking during the day and returned home to Onsen and then end the day with board games. It was perfect!

Rakuten STAY VILLA Aso Kurokawa -105 1LDK pet allowed Capacity of 6 persons ligt in Minamioguni en heeft een sauna. Really amazing house and location. We didn't walk to the nearby onsen town, but it is walkable (a bit of a hill), and there are many walking trails around the house. This house has a fence for dogs but we didn't travel with pets and found it made a great yard for our kids to play. The onsen bath in the house is great and there is plenty of space.

フォレスタ阿蘇車帰 ligt op 24 km van Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto en 33 km van Kasteel Kumamoto, en is voorzien van kamers in Aso. We spent two nights here as a couple. The staff greeted us kindly and were very accommodating and helpful. The property is beautiful and overlooks Mt.Aso. We decided to use the grill our first night and they set up everything for us and even recommended a store where we could go to buy meat and other supplies. (We forgot to buy grilling utensils, the staff let us borrow some :), but I would recommend bringing your own. The meat was delicious and it paired well with the atmosphere of the property. My husband and I don't speak Japanese really but the staff worked with us to communicate in Korean/English. We had the twin bed room and it was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning made it very nice. The room had a bathtub and we took a bath both nights it was so relaxing. The whole cabin had a wonderful woody smell. After dinner we went outside and went star gazing. The night air was crisp and the sky was beautiful. Mosquitos were minimal and the night air was full of the sounds of the forest. We could even see the milky way! We also woke up early to watch the sunrise over Mount Aso right from the deck in front of our room. The view was breathtaking~ Overall I'd highly recommend staying here if you want to experience the Japanese countryside the right way!
