I spent two nights there in a nice room with an amazing view and a hot shower. I can definitely recommend that place.

Perched on top of a hill, watching the town wake up each morning was beautiful. The cabin is designed brilliantly, keeps so cosy and warm, the beds were so comfy and being snuggled up was perfect in the cool weather. Literally feel like you could be anywhere in the world. Don’t forget to hot shower, so good. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. Offering best local spots to eat and directions for each of our activities, and an endless supply of tea and coffee. The breakfast was huge and with an option for either English or traditional Sri Lankan (go the Sri Lankan!).

I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge. This place was so cosy, it has a fireplace in the bedroom and it was so nice to have it lit at night. There’s also a living living area where I was able to work from (although the internet worked well only for the first day, I was able to hotspot from my phone). There’s a tv you can access YouTube on. Really nice shower with hot water. Cool location at the top of a misty hill, although we did have our own transport which helped. Lovely helpful owners.

The caretakers were polite and took very good care of us. It is very comfortable whether you travel with a large group of friends or families. They also had a TV/reading room in addition to 4 bed rooms. The drawing/dining space can accomodate nearly 12 to 15 adults at a time.
