Boutique Hotel Virkas muiža wordt omgeven door een park en de vallei van de Venta. Staff was very attentive and always ready to make our stay enjoyable and worry-free. Beginning with the receptionist who cheerfully greeted us upon entering and escorted us through the hotel to familiarize us with the hotel features and amenities and then led us to our room. A second receptionist warmly translated my parking citation (expensive 40€ lesson in parking sign interpretation) so that I could grudgingly but quickly pay the penalty online with a wire transfer from my US bank. The room was fantastic, large, well appointed, comfortable sofa, comfortable bed, coffee and tea, and well laid out bathroom. Loved it. The breakfast featured scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, various breads and pastries, fresh vegetables, cheeses, porridge, coffee and a wide choice of teas. Breakfast room staff was quickly clearing tables and keeping the buffet well stocked.

Such a lovely apartament right on the main street of Kuldiga. The apartament was bright ans spacious. Shops are just a few steps away. This spot is also great for those commuting by bus as the bus station is really close. The apartament provides with all the essentials should you decide to make your own dinner. One of the highlights of the apartament is the big TV. We really enjoyed this place.

I met the host at the bus station, and she handed me the keys. I'm a perpetually absent-minded person, so obviously I almost broke into someone else's apartment after choosing the wrong door into the building (in my defense, the right one is almost identical). I called her, she gracefully drove to meet me again, and laughed as she saw me go out the door some 50 meters away from where I was supposed to go in. She was kind enough to not press on my embarrassment and then showed me around the apartment. It is superb, clean, beautifully furnished, well insulated, has a nice view (for a 1st story apartment) and all the amenities you could want. The bedroom has a large, plush and comfy bed, and thick matching curtains that do a great job at keeping out the light. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, pots, pans, knives, a mini-fridge, and everything else you expect. There's a breakfast table next to the window that I liked to people-watch through while I had my morning cereal. Which reminds me, there's a large supermarket across the street and a smaller one around the corner. There's a flat-screen tv with Netflix, which can be both a good and a bad thing. I stayed up late binge-watching a show one night, and kind of missed making an early morning the next day. I was also glad to be able to wash my clothes there. There's a washing machine, laundry detergent, ironing board and machine and just enough space in the hallway to iron clothes. The living room might be better suited, but I couldn't find an extension cord. It was probably tucked away somewhere, though. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Definitely recommend it.

Skrunda apartments ligt op een paar minuten afstand van het busstation. Het appartement waar ik verbleef was schoon en mooi, met een fijn groot bed. Het is een mooie authentieke plek met een geschiedenis. De tuin is prachtig!

Log Cabin heeft een buitenzwembad en een 24-uursreceptie, en is gunstig gelegen in Kuldīga, op 11 km van Oude stadhuis van Kuldīga en 10 km van Art gallery of Artists Residence. I love how the nature looks like. Its is like a dreamy log cabin camping. Fantastic!
