Hospitality and the view from room and garden, absolutely fantastic view, especially sun rise. Jenny welcomed us with big smile that made us feel like we are back to home. They are great couple, highly recommended. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place - will be back. Well fitted out, great environment. Huge room with lots of options built into how different users / groups might use it - from families to friends and solo travellers. Staff were great and so helpful

Amazing old building - loved the atmosphere. Rural and quiet but in the small township of Owaka with everything you need. Staff were very helpful, giving me info on the nearby Caves. Great guest kitchen and dining room. Room small but had everything. Loved the games room and the tea and coffee nook at the end of the hallway. Place looked very clean and tidy, considering some of the earlier reviews. We were very happy and would come again.

The Whistling Frog Resort features outdoor seating areas and an onsite bar and restaurant. Guests can enjoy a TV lounge and access to a fully equipped shared kitchen.

A very charming old fashioned cottage. It's all redone on the inside and outside, while attention was made to preserving historic features. Very private setting with partial view to the ocean. Away from the touristy centre, yet within a walking distance to the restaurants, either along the road next to the shore or via a beach walk. The cottage had everything one would need, cooking facilities, compact cappucino maker, heating, Netflix, outdoor private sitting areas, well maintained garden, even a washing machine. We didn't meet the hosts in person but they were very responsive to our queries and returned the calls immediately. It's wonderful that the owners welcome pet dogs and provide even water/food bowls and dog toys. The holiday home oozes with charm.

A gem in the Catlins area! Great little cabin and very tidy. Cozy but still spacious and you have there everything you might need for a stay :) Location is also great for exploring the beautiful places Catlins has to offer.
