Not very far from city center and really in the the desert. Facility is really well maintained and many activities could be suggested by the owners. The staff are very warm and kind. The starry sky in the night was really amazing.

I loved everything about the camp: the place, the people, the delicious dinner and the camel ride. So cool! I was a bit skeptical about the comfort of the tent, but in the end it was cozy, clean, and so quiet. The owners of the camp are the best!

The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

Το Nomad inn Tiwi σε Ḩillat al Ḩişn διαθέτει εξωτερική πισίνα και βεράντα. Το κατάλυμα παρέχει υπηρεσία δωματίου και υπηρεσία φύλαξης αποσκευών για τους επισκέπτες. What an oasis! Grounds and room are just beautiful. one of the best we had in Oman. This place doesnt have enough reviews. Pool, rooms, grounds? Fantastic. But the host is the best. Very honest. You’re just down the road from wadi tiwi. You’ll need 4x4 to get to it. We didnt have this on our to do list but they told us we should go and they mentioned a guide. We drove up and got picked up suddenly by a local guide. Next thing we know we’re carving our way down a hill through gardens and trees holding onto guide chains, and scrambling down walls. Then we get the most beautiful wadi and a leisurely swim through the pools with almost no one around. Just us, our guide, and another passing group of 3. We end up having to do some rick climbing out which was wild but we could have gone the way we came. Our guide had us the whole way. Pop up at the parking lot where ALL of the other tourist are and have no idea what we’ve seen. We paid the man 25 rial and it was worth every penny. The nomad Inn made this happen. Absolutely amazing day. Top travel moment of our lives. Book this inn. You wont regret it.

This was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed so much about it. Saud has created a beautiful, quiet, comfortable space for a small number of people to have an intimate experience in the desert, an homage to his experience growing up in Bidiyah. From beautiful tents to private bathrooms to wonderful food, Desert Waves is an amazing place to experience the desert, the stars, the scenery and experiences like camel rides or visits to local spots. We met some lovely people (fellow travelers) in the camp that we shared meals with, and Saud and his staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. FYI, two taxi drivers from Muscat quoted us 50 OMR each way to drive us to Bidiyah, and renting a car ourselves was less than half of that amount.

We stayed at Salem Fish Guest House for one night and instantly wished we could stay longer. It honestly felt like visiting a cousin’s house. That’s how friendly and welcoming the atmosphere is. His home becomes your home from the moment you arrive. Salem is a fantastic host who loves to spend time with his guests. We drank tea together, listened to music, laughed, and shared amazing home-cooked meals around one table. The boat trip was one of the highlights. Salem took us to see dolphins, fish, and an incredibly beautiful coral area in Ras al Hadd. If you’re visiting Ras al Hadd, don’t miss this place. It’s not just accommodation , it’s a genuine experience full of warmth, culture, and Omani hospitality. Plus, Salem speaks Italian, which is a great bonus for Italian travelers. We would definitely come back. A beautiful place, delicious food, and an amazing host. Thank you, Salem, for making us feel at home.
