You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!

Staying at Desert Diamond Private camp was one of the best experiences I had in Oman. The camp is private and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and varied — I especially enjoyed the camel meat at dinner. Breakfast on the soft desert sand was unforgettable. The room and bathroom were both beautifully decorated and very clean. The stargazing trip was a magical experience that added a special touch to the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert escape.

This place doesnt have enough reviews. Pool, rooms, grounds? Fantastic. But the host is the best. Very honest. You’re just down the road from wadi tiwi. You’ll need 4x4 to get to it. We didnt have this on our to do list but they told us we should go and they mentioned a guide. We drove up and got picked up suddenly by a local guide. Next thing we know we’re carving our way down a hill through gardens and trees holding onto guide chains, and scrambling down walls. Then we get the most beautiful wadi and a leisurely swim through the pools with almost no one around. Just us, our guide, and another passing group of 3. We end up having to do some rick climbing out which was wild but we could have gone the way we came. Our guide had us the whole way. Pop up at the parking lot where ALL of the other tourist are and have no idea what we’ve seen. We paid the man 25 rial and it was worth every penny. The nomad Inn made this happen. Absolutely amazing day. Top travel moment of our lives. Book this inn. You wont regret it.

The food was absolutely delicious. After dinner, we gathered around the campfire, listening to stories about their people and way of life. At the end of the evening, we all danced together to their music. The people were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend
