The staff on reception were exceptional. They noticed it was my friend’s birthday from his passport when we checked in and sent a birthday cake to the room, which was a lovely surprise. They also remembered my name to say hello each time I passed.

Wyndham Costa del Sol Cusco is a converted 17th-century mansion located in Cusco’s centre, a few steps away from Cusco Main Square and La Merced Church. Could not have chosen a better location as it is very central Breakfast had a lot of variety to satisfy any one's tastes The rooms were comfortable and the beds/matresses provided excellent sleep and rest for the body.

Yanuy Culinary Stay and Taste is gelegen op 2,7 km van treinstation Wanchaq, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een gedeelde keuken. Michael is an excellent host, very professional, with good advice re restaurants and how to get to various sightseeing spots. The breakfasts were plentiful and well made. They did laundry for us and ordered taxis for us twice for a reasonable price. This is a guesthouse, not a formal hotel, so if you are looking for fancy, then this is not the place for you. What you will get is a comfortable bed, a warm room, lots of hot water available for showers, and a tea station where you can help yourself. We had some great conversations with Michael and really enjoyed our stay. We felt at home there.

Anido Hotel beschikt over een tuin, en bevindt zich in Ollantaytambo in de regio Cusco, op 19 km van Bus Station en 19 km van Main Square. Everything. Awesome place. Awesome owner. Hot water. Breakfast was great. Very attentive staff. Don’t question and just book it.

Lucmabamba Lodge is gelegen in Santa Teresa met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, bar, tuin en terras. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Het verblijf is een mooie tuin gelegen, langs de hoodroute door het dorp. De kamer had een prachtig uitzicht op het regenwoud waar ze eigenaren zelf koffiebonen verbouwen. De badkamer was heel schoon en comfortabel. De gastvrouw was vriendelijk en kon heerlijk koken. We voelde ons erg thuis daar. Een aanrader!

Spirit Of The River Lodge ligt in Cuzco met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, bar, tuin, terras en speeltuin. De lodge beschikt over zowel gratis WiFi als privéparkeren. SOTRL was a serene location alongside the Urubamba river. The room was bright and tastefully decorated, we slept peacefully each night with the sound of the river. Additionally there is a beautiful sauna - highly recommend. The property is lush with plants and flowers. Breakfast and dinner were always fresh and delicious. They prepare with all organic foods. Owners were warm and welcoming and took us on a day trip on the ATV to some underrated sacred spots. Very special place!

KOSKO Casa Hotel is gelegen in Cuzco, op 5,2 km van treinstation Wanchaq, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Rómulo and Helga were fantastic hosts: so warm, welcoming, and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We ended up extending our stay here because we didn’t want to leave! Our room was awesome, nicely decorated, good natural light, with hot water bottles delivered each night to make our beds even cozier. Breakfast was avocado, toast and jam, and 2 eggs sunny side up. There was tea and hot water available all the times in the kitchen. Helga loves plants and the garden area right outside the kitchen was very beautiful and with lots of birds! My favorite thing about this place, besides the hosts, is that you can walk out the door and be in a lovely natural park-like setting where you can walk to many nearby archeological sites. Rómulo showed us around Temple of the Moon and gave us a very spirited tour, which was a highlight. It’s a really fun walk into town on the Inca Trail and down a pedestrian stairway lined with restaurants— even though it’s “far” from the city center, it’s actually a very nice walk to get into town, along peaceful paths with no cars! On the day we left, Rómulo drove us into town, along with 2 groups of other guests, and helped us exchange money, get an oil change, find the right entrance to a museum, etc. He took care of all of us and helped us along our way. Incredible hosting!

Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba is gelegen op 17 km van Huayna Picchu, 19 km van Historisch heiligdom van Machu Picchu en 19 km van Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum, en biedt accommodatie in Sahuayacu. Het echtpaar is super vriendelijk en kunnen goed koken. Heerlijke bedden, warme douche en wifi. Denken met je mee over de volgende dag. Uitleg over koffie branden en naar hotsprings geweest.
