The location of the place is just stunning. Just the nature alone is the reason to stay at the place. A picturesque view with a beautiful waterfall. Cosy, very well-maintained room. A lot of light and attention to the small details, you can see that the owners put a lot of love in the place. Very good kitchen appliances. Guests can use a separate kitchen with outside tables, with the view on the valley. It’s amazing. The staff and the hosts is very friendly and welcoming, always there to help and answer your questions.

We had the most wonderful retreat to the Douro hills at Quinta do Monte Travesso. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage which was close to the main vineyard buildings but still super private. The views are stunning, and the garden with a little pool, hammock, lawn and lots of seating areas was the perfect spot to lounge in the sunshine. The fridge was stocked with breakfast things and fresh bread was delivered each morning. We barely left the Quinta as it was the perfect spot to unwind. We had a wine tasting with the winemaker which was fascinating and delicious. The bed was super comfy and everything was high quality and in good condition. We’ll definitely be back.

Starting by the first contact with Fernando, who is an excellent and helpful host, our short stay was very comfortable in a quiet plače in between the wineyards. A vintage house has it's genuine atmosphere, which brings the guests back in last century. The view from the house to the valley is amazing. We had ať our disposal 2 bedrooms, living room, equipped kitchen and bathroom. In the bedrooms are comfortable beds, which in combination with silence guarantees a quality sleep.
