He was available 24/7 via WhatsApp for any questions including providing a self walking tour of the Christmas lights. The rooftop bar/pool area was very nice with views of the city. Having access to free laundry on the fifth floor was very convenient. The fresh pastries on the doorknob in the morning ❤️

Together with the great weather for this time of the year we really enjoyed the outdoor areas.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place with all necessary staff for travellers. A lot of cafes and restaurants just in a few minutes walks. Pedro is a super friendly and active host, who gave a plenty of local recommendations and directions. Coffee machine with the capsules did my mornings happy)

Nice cosy place kept well clean and dry inside. It's a bit of a search to find a place, don't take first road what google suggest think a bit :D

Everything was spotlessly clean, and the place had such a warm, homey atmosphere. The owners are absolutely wonderful – super friendly, helpful, and always ready to make you feel welcome.

Super, super clean, well appointed accommodation with ocean views, wild style garden and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable, relaxing family stay. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.
