The open, airy rooms are peaceful and comfortable, surrounded by nature’s sounds, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof. Pom is one of the most inspiring people we’ve ever met — kind, artistic, and full of warmth. Her home-cooked meals were amazing (we even tasted her home-grown seaweed!), and her family made us feel right at home. Tucked away near the river, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, yet easy to get around by scooter or local taxi. Kayaking through the mangroves was a highlight. Thank you, Pom, for everything — we’ll never forget our time here. 🌸

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

Amazing villas within walking distance to the beach! (But you can also get a ride there or cycle). We loved everything about this place. Lovely breakfast, good restaurant/bar at the beach, massages all close by.

Very cozy cottages that is worth to stay there. Staff is super friendly and helped us organizing scooters and guided tours to surrounding island. They offered us a pick-up from and to the pier. Food and drinks are really great in an very relaxed atmosphere. The location is very new, the pool was just about to be built, but did not cause any (noise) disturbance. The pool should be build in the meantime. Definitely a place we (family with two children) can recommend for couples, friends and families enjoying the authentic travel experience. We will visit again 🙏.

Excellent value for money. The apartment has a keypad lock at the entrance, which is very convenient for four people (no need to carry keys). The apartment is very spacious—simple yet stylish. The internet connection was very reliable. We were working remotely, and it was comfortable to set up workspaces for all four of us without disturbing each other. The host was always quick to respond to our questions and kindly allowed us to use his bicycle. There is a market just a 2-minute walk away where you can buy groceries at very reasonable prices, and plenty of cafés nearby for a quick meal. The neighborhood is very quiet. I would be happy to stay here again!

Very comfortable accommodation, and Tim and Wit were incredibly gracious hosts. Very convenient location - right across from the beach. The property also catered really well to pets.
