The welcome and the helpfulness of maradona, the owner, he went out if his way to satisfy all our needs, he even drove us to grijokaster Castle in his own car free of charge. Rooms are very clean too and the food in the restaurant was good and inexpensive.

Super nice hosts, they were really kind and welcoming and despite the language barrier we felt at home. The breakfast was great, we had it in the morning cold on the terrace with a really nice view and fresh fruit, eggs, veggies, juices etc. A small little kitten bringing us some company and joy. The room was clean and cosy.

I really enjoyed the location, which is right in the city center. You can even see the old market from one of the room's windows. The lady was very friendly and helpful, and she also provided us with breakfast in the morning :). I recommend this place 100%!

The location was very good. It was very central. The only thing is that you have to be in good condition to reach the hotel because it's uphill from the city center. The room was very clean and big. We even had a little garden! Breakfast was also very fresh and very good. Parking was possible at the accomodation. The owner of the hotel even helped me to park te car.

The best location in Gjirokastër. In terrace you can see the castle, mosque and the Main Street. It’s windy enough to chill you down on a hot day, amazing hosts, amazing!!!!

We had a wonderful time at the Barrels. The location is perfect, just an easy ten minutes drive from the old town of Gjirokaster. It is so wonderful in the beautiful vineyard where it is cooler than downtown. The food is amazing. The rooms very spacious, wonderfully decorated and great beds. The owners are such wonderful, nice and hardworking people. We highly recommend staying here and eating here.

The location of the accommodation is near the old city center and the attitude of the accommodation provider was amazing. Very helpful and caring. Breakfast on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the castle of Gjirokaster was just perfect. The accommodation was clean and we had everything we needed. We were very satisfied and glad, that we stayed right there.

Honestly the rooms are beautiful and some have a view over the valley which is stunning. Very much feels like a historic place to stay. Hosts are lovely, very accommodating and the view at breakfast was also gorgeous. It’s a great location as it’s in the centre of the old town near the bazaar.
