The only way to feel at home on a holiday is to stay in a home. That’s just what this is: the host’s summer house. It’s fully equipped and decorated and feels like being in your own holiday home. We loved the view of the mountains and canyon (photo from a hill just behind the house), being woken by roosters in the neighbourhood and the basket swing that our daughter loved. You can walk easily to Sanahin Monastery and it’s within easy striking distance of Haghpat, Aktala, Odzun and other very, very old churches and monasteries.

Amazing place to stay. The guesthouse is next to the family home of the hosts. The family is very welcoming, friendly and open to give advice on what to do in the area. English is not a problem. They brought fresh and tasty breakfast to us every morning and there is an optional cooked dinner. Comfy beds, kitchen and seating area. The Migoyan museum and Sanahin monastery are next door and the start to some wonderful hikes are nearby. There is a small shop next door. You can also watch the piglets in the neighbour's barn while drinking your morning coffee.

Perfect location in a historical house just next to the Sanahin Monastery. The hosts are a very friendly family and they make sure their guests feel comfortable and happy. You have to enter the shop first to get inside, the staff of the shop and hostel is very friendly and helpful, little language barrier tho but it's fine. The rooms were good and you have all you need for a short stay. Bathroom is shared but not with many people. Living room is nice and I met some other solo travellers too. Location is very good if you want to hike to Sanahin and Haghpat

Lovely hosts, welcoming and friendly. They run a shop at the ground floor of the building (which is open form 9 to 24) hence they are always available. Location is good, on the Main Street of the town. At the time of the visit the road leading to the town was under repair so be ready for a bumpy and slow ride, I hope it will be completed soon.

The hosts are amazing. I felt at home. I ate homemade delicious meals at a very good price. The location is stunning, I especially enjoyed the outside seating area. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The hosts make it an exceptional stay. They even helped me with my departure transport.

Wonderful place! The hosts are extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. The rooms were nicely furnished and clean and had everything that was needed. Super location, just around 15 min by foot from Sanahin monastery. I really liked the place and would definitely stay there again if I'd come back to Sanahin/Alaverdi. Thank you!

The property was in a great location right in front of Sanahin monastery. The host was so welcoming and kind and took us for walk to show us a beautiful place to see the sunset. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there and all three meals were excellent, food from his garden! He also helped organize a tour of the monasteries nearby!
