I have stayed at Sherwood Inn many summers, mostly 5 nights at a time. I love the place because of its location by the lake, it’s old world charm, giant trees, peacefulness, good food and excellent service.

Great location! Was able to walk into the town of port carling which has many shops, coffee shops and great restaurants. There’s also an lcbo and a foodland. I feel that owning or renting a boat/seadoo during your stay could really make it next level. There’s a few docks for parking. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful lake view every morning. Balcony was great.

The location was absolutely excellent, and they offered kayaks and canoes which were so nice to go out and enjoy the water. The staff were welcoming, and friendly and the restaurant was also good. The cleanliness was a bit lacking (e.g. mold in the shower, dirty carpets and curtains), and outdoor furniture that was breaking. However the views from our room were beautiful! Overall, we had a good time.
