Close to Basel by train, a very convenient oasis away from the heat, hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent rooms, efficient but friendly staff with old-world manners, a lovely setting amongst mature trees, and a delicious dinner outside in the cool of a summer’s evening. It's a minergie house. If you are often cold at night, this place may be tough for you. But if you're usually warm/hot, it's a perfect place. :) The breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and the view at breakfast was wonderful.

We stayed 1 night for the Eurovision. We easily reached the hotel by train from the SBB station. The best part was once we arrived. The owner himself, knowing a taxi would have been to expensive and that it would have taken us long to reach Jakobshalle by public transportation, offered to take us by car. I haven't seen an act of kindness like that...probably ever! They were all very helpful and welcoming. They also upgraded our room free of charge. It was a clean room with everything you might need for a quick and comfortable stay. THANK YOU ARBEN!!!!
