Amazing location, super helpful staff went above and beyond for us, and we got a great traditional chinese dinner and a lovely european breakfast for a decent price. Amazing access to parts of the wall where you wont be drowning in a sea of tourists - we hardly met anyone while hiking it.

amazing location, steps away from the Jinshanling Trail on the great wall. Host cooks amazing vegetarian food for reasonable price. Super helpful in finding us taxi rides.Very clean rooms and bathroom.

Location from Beijing was a bit far but the convenience of direct modern train and received by the owners made my choice to Simatai Great Wall no.1 Homecooked delicious dinner and breakfast whipped up by mama boss Exceptionally friendly couple whom allowed me all the comfort and security (I was a single lady tourist) Room and facilities are very clean and comfortable The GUZHEN, WATER TOWN, is exceptional bonus for great wall visit. It's beautiful day and night A MUST VISIT TO Simatai Great Wall

The staff and facilities were fantastic as well as the location being situated a 15min walk from the start of the JinShangLing hike across the Great Wall. The heated lights and extra hot water in the shower were particularly enjoyable after a long day walking.

The breakfast was amazing! We had the Western breakfast, the eggs and homemade bread was delicious. Ellie had a cheesecake waiting for us when we arrived, and it was so good. The rooms were clean, the villa was very modern, and it was quiet. Lovely place to stay.

Great experience at this hotel, near Jinshanling/Gubeikou wall section. Host was kind and quick to respond to our requests online and was always ready to help us. They can help you book for a sunrise tour. They also offer pick-up/taxi service at a really fair price ! We dinned there at the evening, food was homemade and good. Rooms are simple yet clean. I recommend this hotel for its great location and amenities !

Charming and helpful staff, both human and feline. Every staff member made sure I was satisfied. The room was spacious and had a fridge, the bathroom had all the necessary things. The location for a Wall hike is unbeatable.
