The morning mist (September with day temperatures still in the high twenties) made the place even more special.

The location on the Route des Gorges du Tarn was fantastic but circa 15km from the township of Sainte-Enimie. The Chateau was amazing in architecture and ambience. Looked and felt like a true 1600’s building. The restaurant cuisine was exceptional offering a fabulous dining experience out on the terrace. Parking for car fabulous.

Room was a good size, well furnished with good ensuite. Evening meals were tasty with very generous portions served by excellent host. Good range of food provided for breakfast. Very quiet location

We thought the room was pretty ordinary, given the stunning location.
A hand held shower head that wasn’t flexible, so you literally had to hold it for the whole shower.
No Wi-Fi or iron or air con and (due to the fly invasion (not the hotels fault)) it was necessary to close the windows, so the room was stuffy and hot.
Dinner was nice. But the service was all over the place. Long waits.

The location of this chateau is nothing short of spectacular. The backdrop of sheer rock, the singing of the birds, the fresh air and the rippling of the Tarn river provided a very special stay. We enjoyed a swim in the pool after a long drive and the meal on the terrace was outstanding. I could not rate this more highly.

thé place is simply amazing! not only the building but also the location. really fantastic back drop for a fantastic castle. food and wine are top class at the restaurant and any staff we met were super polite and helpful. This is a really remarkable place!

Fabulous location! Last minute booking and it was an amazing location and accommodation! Gorgeous food, really friendly staff, and would definitely go back again and recommend to others. Dog friendly too.
