What a lovely find! Great location, great facilities, super clean and welcome! My family loved staying here for 2 nights. We slept very well, comfortable bed and all the little treats of a 5 star place! The ice cream shop is a must! And so is the coffee/ book place nearby. We went there everyday and really enjoyed it! 5 stars!!!

The cottage has been very tastefully done up whilst retaining so much of it's original character and the owners Jo and Martyn had thought about absolutely everything to make our stay as welcoming as possible with a few little treats on top, it is warm cosy with plentiful hot water and a well equipped kitchen for those that like to cook on holiday, we loved it so much we are planning to go back next year! Talgarth is an ideal place for people like ourselves that like to ditch the car and explore the area on foot with easy access to the black mountains and many other beautiful walks straight out of the village. There are many areas of beauty close by if you prefer to go further afield to explore! There is a very interesting working mill at the rear of the property with an amazing history which the original owner and the volunteers on site were more than happy to talk to us about and the fresh bread from the bakery is delicious. There is also a butchers, green grocers and a local co-op in the village which catered for all our needs and the food in the pub was delicious though booking is recommended as it is very busy! There is also a fish & chip shop if you prefer to grab a takeaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Slow House Apartments! The place is new, spotless, and so welcoming that we immediately felt at home. The view of the Black Mountains from the big window is breathtaking – we could have spent hours just watching the light change over the hills. We really appreciated the eco-friendly choices like the solar panels, heat pump and water harvesting system – it’s wonderful to see such care for sustainability and comfort. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer!

This cottage is in a beautiful, tranquil location. Inside is well presented with everything you could need and Faye had left us a delicious Bara Brith and some fresh milk and local butter which was a real treat after a long journey. We tried local walks from our doorstep from the comprehensive information pack in the property. After exploring the stunning surroundings and local town we could come back and relax, using the wood burning stove on one particular wet day. We would thouroughly recommend this place to our friends.

Great location really well connected to the beacons. I booked super last min and arrived late but the communication was fab from Adam. Comfortable room - realistically aligned to the price point, nice clean sheets and no noise. Excellent value to include breakfast - I grabbed bits to go.

Lovely and cosy. Location is brilliant. Had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and slept so well. Also some Welsh cakes were left which was really great. Spotlessly clean!! Ffion (host) was extremely helpful as well. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Lovely quiet and easy to reach location (although the cul de sac numbering is a bit random). Very convenient for the Brecon area. Entry system is easy once you know how to do it but the kind host showed us. Beautiful and clean throughout. Very happy to see a full set of 3 towels each (although the bath/shower one was too small), good quality toiletries. Bed very comfy, and bedsheets of excellent quality.
