We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glykeria Hotel — a true gem in Crete! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The host was incredible: always available, genuinely kind, and eager to help us with anything we needed. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and even helped us shape our vacation itinerary with local tips and recommendations we wouldn’t have found on our own. What makes this place even more special is that it’s a family-run business with a beautiful history that dates back to the grandparents. Hearing their story added such a personal, authentic touch to our stay. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable, with an unforgettable view of the sea — we started each morning with coffee on the balcony, soaking it all in. (Yes, coffee was included in the room, which we really appreciated!) Although breakfast wasn’t included, we happily ate at their restaurant across the street every morning — everything was fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. In fact, we ended up eating all our meals there during our 3-day stay because the food was just that good. Every dish was a highlight, and you could really feel the love and care that went into the cooking. If you’re looking for a peaceful, heartfelt experience in Crete with great hospitality, views, and food — Glykeria Hotel is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing place. It is new and fancy with a very small private pool that we enjoyed more than expected. The host was amazing and very helpful, taking care of our wellbeing all the time. The place is perfect also if you want to go there for a creative solo retreat. Nice beaches all around.

This is one of the most marvelous places I've ever been. Such a quiet place and extremely charming. The studios are built in a way you have privacy. The room is quite big and has everything you need. The bathroom is so beautiful and has a very nice shower. They use such great elements to make the environment more authentic. I particularly liked the old painted closets and the hammocks outside which made you feel very relaxed considering the view and the concert of the crickets. The pool (with it's view on the surrounding mountains) isn't quite big, but definitely enough for cooling down. The owner is an incredible host! He spoiled us with fresh figs, grapes, pastries. Every morning there's this friendly lady coming to ask if everything is okay and if you need something. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Absolutely loved everything about it! Also, it is an excellent location to explore the west side of Crete!

The location is wonderful, only 10 min walk from the Elafonissi beach. The front rooms have a superb view to the sea, and the ones at the back a nice mountain view. The hotel is very wuiet and clean. The rooms are equipped with all that is needed for a short stay. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff is very kind.

The location and views are fantastic. Close to the best beaches but a bit out of the busy touristic areas. The Swimming pool with same great views. The best is the kind, helpful and super friendly team. Maria and Nikos make you feel home, plus it is very handy to have accommodation plus the restaurant together. Food excellent. Good relation price-quality. I would recommend 100 %.

An oasis of peace! Great and highly recommended place to stay on the way to Elafonisis and the other beaches in the area.. High quality hotel, staff is amazing and Maria will help in any possible way. Excellent restaurant, amazing scenery, including the view from the room! A dreamy spot.

Staff is amazing and SUPER friendly!! Maria is incredible, so helpful and friendly, she gave us a list of what to visit in the region and was just always there to help. Restaurant is also great, location is perfect and overall we had a wonderful stay!! Would definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed the food at the location. It was beyond our expectations. Also, the beach is very close, 5 minutes walking. The apartment rooms are located in a beautiful olive tree garden. They all have a balcony, AC and bathroom.

Location for the famous beach was great altough the overall area is like a large car park. The apartment however was first class and afforded a sense of privacy despite the latter. A good option if looking for more of a stay in the area rather than bussing in with the masses

Location was excellent, really close to the beautiful beach, nice to be able to walk there to have a swim before the crowds turn up . Very relaxing. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The family who owned the hotel are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them .
