This is a great hotel that I did not expect in Semarang. Bright lobby, great rooms, interesting and inspiring facilities. It may not be a well-known international hotel chain, but in everything this hotel surpasses, for example, a Hilton on the Nusa Dua beach in Bali three times over. Great breakfast, extremely friendly and unobtrusive staff, wonderful little details like macaroni biscuits that welcome you in the room. We were in the hotel twice in the space of five days, the second time we took the best room at the top of the hotel, which is the real poetry of the hotel's beauty. Praise!

Excellent value for the money. It's a quaint little boutique hotel in the heart of old town. While the rooms are small the beds are large and comfy. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was rather unique, you order from 6 choices and they also have fruits and cereal as well. Oh, and don't forget to try the soft server icer cream down near the lobby, yummy.

Semarang offers so much more than initially taught, off the touristy itenary, with exquisite architecture, delicious local food and fascinating history. Showing flourishing signs of rejuvenation, this city has one of the best preserved and restored historic centres in Indonesia, with charming streets, colourful neighborhoods, secret alleyways, flower markets, lush gardens and parks, perfect climate and gracious people. With its harmonious blend of multi- culturalism, multi- faiths and multi- backgrounds, the melting pot of Semarang is a true microcosm of Indonesia as a whole, from ancient temples, to ancient churches, monumental museums, all the way to modern-day Middle Eastern-Javanese mosques, showing that the assortment of religious places, are as striking as they are different, and the fact that they all exist in the same city is a true testament to the acceptance, harmony and appreciation for diversity of Semarang.
