This was a great place to stay. Great Scandinavian design and staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Jakob at the restaurant was fabulous and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
We almost didn’t stay because of another review said it was like dormitories. This is the furthest from the truth. I worked for 5-star hotels my entire career and Hotel Husafell was a nice surprise.

Warm rooms with plenty of space for four and private bathroom too. Dinner and breakfast from the host was lovely and a real treat, eating with the other guests. Quiet and peaceful location that makes for a good aurora spot if the clouds keep away. Great location for husafell and reykholt.

Delightful surprise country home, generous host with waffle/coffee welcome and great home made breakfast. Great location not too far from Reyk and a major glacier if you have the right car. We were very fortunate and saw the Arora Borealis even in Sept.

The host is amazing, and Sami's hospitality is so warm, that you feel like you visiting your granddad at his summerhouse
The rooms are so cozy, the location is great and please, use the hot-tube:)

Modern design, great location, very clean hotel. Lots of walking trails in the surrounding area - lovely surprise to see harlequin ducks on the river.

Beautiful Location in an old farmhouse with lots of character, loads of activities around here. We were greeted by the owner who then welcomed us in with waffles and a cup of tea or coffee which was greatly appreciated after a day of hiking and driving.
Very comfortable rooms with everything that we needed and a very good breakfast!

Second time I've stayed there. Special place, Sammi is a great host. Love the family style everyone around the table breakfast and dinner made by Sammi - who would think sweet potato soup is so good? Nice location, very close to Hraunfossar plus good hiking either up mountain or inside ravine with waterfall plus the property itself is unique. I routed part of my trip to specifically be able to stay there a couple days again.

Sæmundur is the best host ever! Very interesting conversations surrounded by historical atmosohere and smell of Sæmundur's waffers. His grand daughter Emilie was very helpfull and serviceminded too. Location is perfect to visit nearby Hraunfoss and Barnafoss as well for hiking trips. We will definetily stay again in this old farmhouse.

Place is fully equipped with everything you would ever need
Hot tub was clean and big
The hotel close by has a gas station, restaurant pool etc.
The location is remote, tho closes supermarket is 1h drive so come prepared

The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable; the restaurant and food have been great and the location and views are wonderful. Great for exploring the surroundings (lava cave, glacier)!
