Staff was very helpful, nice and easy to communicate with. The service in the swimming pool was excellent, you can order drinks and they service them to the pool for you. The surroundings are beautiful and you have a view to the mountains from all areas of the hotel. I have been going to Húsafell for over 40 years but htis was my first stay at the hotel and I will be back

A very special guesthouse run by a lovely man who really wants to spend time with and spoil his guests! It has a homely feel with guests being more like dear friends. It cannot be compared with any other place we have stayed at and was the perfect ending to our holiday. When we were there it was possible to get a delicious soup in the evening together with the other guests. Breakfast was very good with homemade bread, four types of porridge, freshly-made waffles.... The surroundings are beautiful with several hiking routes starting next to the guesthouse. Many other sightseeing options nearby.

This countryside property, in the Western Iceland town of Borgarfjördur, is next to the Hvítá Glacial River. It offers free Wi-Fi in the reception, as well as an on-site bar.

An amazing at stay!! After spending 5 days in the city this was exactly what we needed. We were fortunate enough to see the northern lights and for it too snow whilst we were here too. Property was warm too and cosy.

Dating back to 1828, this family-run farm in West Iceland offers bright rooms with country-style décor. Facilities include a guest kitchen, TV lounge and terrace with outdoor hot tub.

The hosts were friendly, helpful and cheerful. The room was furnished in a comfortable and cheerful fabric. The breakfast was superb, not a cooked breakfast but with good variety.

Boasting barbecue facilities and views of quiet street, Hrísmóar is set in Reykholt, 36 km from Bjarnafoss. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi.

I really Enjoyed the stay, even though the house itself is not very new. Inside, you will find everything you would need for a short stay, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, small bathroom, one bedroom, and the other bedroom for two additional guests is upstairs in the attic. There is also a living room with different board games available in the TV. The most memorable experience is of course, a hot tub, which is located outside the house on the patio, there is also a barbecue available for guests. A hot tub at is full of water and hot once you arrive, but  you can also add hot or cold water based on your needs. A truly amazing experience, sitting in a hot tub at night looking at a starry sky with no light pollution. We were even lucky enough to see northern lights. I can highly recommend this place.

It was quiet and clean location l. Perfect home from home to crash from seeing the sights along from Keflavík airport. The hot tub was great after a long day hiking Glymur! 😊

A wonderful place to stay and a brilliantly executed conversion. This was our most memorable accommodation in Iceland. The top floor living room / kitchen has amazing 360 degree views. Warm and clean, with comfortable beds. There are a lot of stairs to go up and down but it is well worth the effort.

Grímsstaðir holiday home - Family friendly is a recently renovated villa in Reykholt, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.
