Lenno is an excellent place to base yourself on the lake as it is halfway up and is a stop for the high speed ferry, but not heaving with tourists due to being smaller (unlike Bellagio or Varenna). The villa is a 7 minute walk from the Lenno ferry which is perfect. The villa also has covered parking if you wanted to drive. There is a cafe on the opposite side of the street, and restaurants 2 minutes walk away and a grocery shop 5 minutes away (we loved getting a takeaway pizza and eating it on the shore of the lake). The villa really is a perfect location! Yes, it does have a position on a road with traffic, but this was not a problem for us, there is less traffic at night, and the bedrooms are all at the back of the building away from the road side. We stayed 4 nights and wish we stayed longer! It is a villa made up of 3 apartments and we were on the top floor, meaning that our balcony had a view of the lake <3 We loved the pool and outdoor space, and it is only shared with the other apartments (max 2 other couples). The hospitality was excellent. The villa is not brand new, but it is authentic Italian. Make sure you bring cash to pay the air conditioning charge, and the tourist tax (otherwise there is an ATM right next door at the bank, but will charge international fees). Also if you like hiking/walking, the greenway di Como Lago passes right behind the house and is a beautiful walk through the hills/along lakeside!

With the four of us we had a wonderful stay. The house is clean, spacious, nice beds and above all a nice garden with a beautiful veranda with an excellent view, enough shadow and sunlight. The jacuzzi is amazing: with a view on the lake and the stars at night it’s very romantic. The swimming pool is nice with lots of space in the surrounding garden. About the house: enough storage space in the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom (I love that!). To lake Como it’s a nice ten minute walk through the small and winding streets of Lenno. Lenno itself is friendly and beautiful with nice options for excellent Italian food. From the house it is easy to find a few good hiking tracks up to the mountains and a church (unesco world heritage site). Well, we loved it and definitely want to come back.

Location was great, is near to Train station going to Menaggion and also Lierna Boat station to go to Bellagio and Menaggio. Room was super clean and felt myself as in my home. Bathroom is big enough and very clean. Breakfast was fabulous. We would recommend. The owners Giuseppe and Antonella are very friendly and helpful. After check out we Ieft our bags in the hotel for comfortable walk and came back to take it 5-6 PM. I really appreciate.

Perfect location for lake como, more quiet and relaxed than Bellagio / Varenna. Lots of restaurants nearby and we loved the breakfast every morning. Rooms were cleaned everyday and staff were great! They even opened breakfast early for us on our last day. 15min walk to the ferry, we didn’t mind as it had beautiful views the whole way.

Excellent location, the Balbianello villa is in walking distance. Very close to the beach promenade of Nello. Next to the main road, but it was not noisy. The host is very kind. The breakfast was superior, with home made cakes and omlettes.
