Make sure to complete pre check in (send passport photos etc) before hand. Entry code is easy to use and very convenient! Extremely cleanly unit. Incredibly spacious accommodation compared to most hotels in Japan. Easy to find location from Hakata Station (follow tracks and you’re there), also there’s an amazing Sentō (bathhouse) nearby, however, the bath in the unit is amazing! Press 給湯 to get hot water out (preset to 40 C, can be adjusted) and select amount of liters. Super cool!! Press おいだき to reheat bath!!!! Amazing. Very comfortable beds, good sound proofing. I would love to stay here again! Self check in and self check out went very smoothly.

Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Everything. From the moment we arrived in front of hotel, until the moment we left the hotel back to airport. Sublime service. The very polite lady from the bell desk even continue waived us good byes accros the street! That was really touched our hearts. We have been around the world staying in top luxury resorts and hotels, but we never encountered such personal attention and care to their guests! Simply amazing service culture!
