Great hotel with excellent service and food. Yu at reception was really helpful and had a lot of information and tips for the area. Very friendly staff in general as well. Food, both dinner and breakfast were great, so was the welcome drink. Nice room, with a great bed and pillows. Good and clean shower facilities as well. At a walking distance from the station in a quiet neighborhood.

We loved absolutely everything, the room was spacious, the view was breathtaking, and the beds were comfortable. The property has two onsens – the “left” one is larger, but both are fantastic and relaxing. The food was delicious, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. We tried both the Japanese and European breakfasts, and they were equally very good. Also a free shuttle to the nearest station and sights is offered in the morning.

We had a fantastic stay, largely thanks to the incredible private onsen. Having both indoor and outdoor options made it easy to relax and enjoy the onsen experience with our family. Another major highlight was the hotel's prime location for museum enthusiasts. I highly recommend the POLA Museum and Hakone Open-Air Museum for daytime visits, and the Hakone Glass Forest Museum is simply breathtaking at dusk with the sunset reflecting off the glass.

A hidden gem! A fantastic Ryokan experience off the beaten track outside of the tourist highway!. Staff were amazing and very attentive to our every need. Most were not able to speak much english but with their enthusiasm and kindness we worked it all out. Highly recommend a stay here if you want to experience a traditional Ryokan. All meals are served in your room> They provide so much to make your stay pleasant from a massage chair, telescope and private hot bath all with the most beautiful view of the lake> Wish we could have stayed an extra night to soak up all the traditions and old Japanese customs

We stayed in one of the rooms on the side of the hotel. The waterfall below felt as if it was flowing right inside the room. It was incredibly relaxing to lie in the bathtub on the balcony in such an atmosphere. I highly recommend staying on this side of the hotel to everyone.

The room was spacious and luxurious with a traditional Japanese feel. The staff was really kind and helpful. We booked our stay with dinner and breakfast included and that was the best choice, both was delicious and a great experience. Both the public and private onsen experience was amazing. I would definitely book Mount View Hakone again the next time we come to Japan :)

Stunning hotel, perfect combination of old style Japan with all the mod cons. We stayed in the Forest Wing and had beautifully designed bedrooms that felt like a small apartment. Onsen was spectacular, views across the mountains. Perfect place to stay and re charge after travelling round Japan.

Amazing place to stay! Great location, right beside Gora station. The building and facilities were beautiful and we loved the little tea/coffee room. The staff were so pleasant and tried their best to accommodate and help us. The private onsen were excellent but the rooms with the balcony bath / indoor-outdoor shower were divine. We embraced the samui and yukata wearing as much as possible and loved every second of our stay there. Definitely check out the spa facilities as well! This hotel was the highlight of our trip!

Location was a good distance away from the station, however, with a rental car getting around was really easy. The atmosphere of the room was also really warm and welcoming and great place to stay and relax in.

Very comfortable bed and room to stay in. The staff is also very nice, and give a lot of recommendation of where to visit. I arrived early to store my luggage and they let me check in immediately. They even have maps. Location is very near to a bus stop that you can use the Hakone free pass, and 10-minute away from the main station. The food at the bar is also good and pretty cheap. Overall a very good place to stay.

Miyanoshita myojokan is a wonderful place to stay. Comfortable and spacious Japanese style rooms. The host is very friendly and provides all the help you need for your visit to Hakone. Miyanoshita is a smaller less busy town with restaurants and convenience stores making this accomodation situated in a great location. I couldn’t recommend staying here more highly. Thank you to our wonderful host. We will be back for sure!

It was a really interesting place to stay with lots of charm. We had a good sized room with plenty of space, comfrotable futon beds, seating area, hot water & green tea provided regularly etc. We enjoyed a soak in one of the two onsite onsen at the end of the day. The owners are very kind and helpful, booking tables at restaurants, driving us to a restaurant (as there didn't seem to be many open in the immediate vicinity). Despite lack of restaurants it was in a good location for getting around, close to buses and the train station.

Staff is very friendly. Location is good, next to the busstop and close to the ferry terminal. It's a practical place to stay to visit the region. Hakone is a beautiful area lots of things to see and do. Breakfast is very simple, you either take it or you don't. Jemsty hotpot is recommended. There are four rooms in total, two with western style beds and two with futons. Our room was petty spacious.

Cozy and comfortable apartment. Great location. Very quiet at night but only a short and beautiful walk from 'downtown' Hakone. Very peaceful. Super friendly staff. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place to stay for a couple of nights!! Everything is just perfect from restaurant to the frontdesk to the onsen to the rooms (a little bit too much airconditioning in the shared room for me). The staff is super friendly and love to help you with anything you need. Amazing location also!

One of the best locations you can stay if visiting Hakone as it's right beside the cable car to get you up the mountain. The Yunessun Onsen complex free shuttle bus also goes from directly across the road(great for kids and adults who want to try a non nude Onsen)Hotel is modern and minimalist in design. Good restaurant on site, breakfast is satisfying. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was expensive relative to the rest of Japan but good value for Hakone.

The property was in a great location very near a cable car station so not far to go for daily activities. Our room also had lovely views over the mountains! The private onsen was a real treat too. Tammy the owner was absolutely amazing. She had tonnes of knowledge about the area and really did care about us having a lovely stay, she upgraded us to her biggest room seeing as we were on honeymoon and out of the 6 hotel we have stayed in Japan this is the only one that acknowledged and treated us due to it being our honeymoon! Thank you so much!

Beautiful modern and clean hotel/hostel with great location. The train station is just next to it as well as the cable car for Owakudani. It had its own onsen that you can use mornings and evenings. Really nice place to stay in Hakone.

Excellent hotel, very clean and all amenities provided. Staff were great and restaurant had excellent buffet breakfast and dinner menu. Private onsen in room with amazing view, made it a very romantic place to stay. Would definately stay again. Location a little away from Gora but they offer transport for free!

Perfect little ryokan for those that are looking for a friendly and cosy place to stay. Staff were extremely hospitable and the location was great, only 10 minutes from Gora station and 15 minutes to Hakone central. Would definitely come back!

The accommodation is beautiful. You get a true Japanese experience with the beautiful rooms and onsen. Location is great for doing the Hakone loop. The host is very welcoming, kind and helpful with navigating the area. Loved the robes you are provided with to wear if you would like. Perfect for going to and from the onsen in. The place is very clean and very calming. This has been my favourite place to stay in Japan so far!

What a great place to stay, good location, clean and quite. Kana was so lovely and helpful with everything. She has good knowledge about the area and attractions and transportation. I highly recommend it!! I had the most wonderful time in Hakone.
