Hospitable owner. Good location during my kumano kodo ohechi hike. Near Tako train station (900m) and bus stop just at door front. Communal room and free ocha tea bag available. No restaurants nearby but the owner can cook dinner (2000yen) and breakfast (included in my booking) for you.

This ground floor house is in a very quiet area next door to a Shrine about 12 mins walk south of Shirahama station on flat roads. The house is lovely - staying here is a beautiful way to experience modern Japanese living. Large bedroom for two people with comfortable futon beds. Living room plus lounge room and large kitchen. Laundry and bathroom are down one end and very private. The owner is a lovely man who was happy to pick us up upon arrival and show us around the house.

The outside onsen is amazing, the lobby provides complimentary drinks at different times, the room is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Garden and outdoor area to relax with a nice big pool. Spectacular views of Hashigiiwa Rocks! Very friendly staff :)
