I liked the helpful owner who let me borrow a torch and the spacey room. The location was good, only a 15-minute walk to the Gasho house area.

Compared to other places in this village, it was a cheap stay. I liked the common area and kitchenette with free coffee etc. 20 minute walk to the attractions. The free shuttle was handy. Decent location. Not much within a 5 minute walk though. Good for a one night stay.

Perfect location to visit the village, in front of the supermarket and 10 minutes to the bus station. The owners are very kind and easy going, they provide towels and there is coffee and a fridge you can use

Staff is amazing, the location is fantastic. The rooms overlook a beautiful river. The onsen/bath is amazing too. Food was delicious for dinner.

There are no words to describe our experience in Shiroyamakan.
Everything was exceptional, the installations, the personnel, the atmosphere, the location, simply, there are no words.
The food is another part of the history. Yes, can be weird that the dinner is at 6 pm, but it has an explanation that you must experience by yourself.
It was the most beautiful and memorable experience in our traveling life.
Arigatou so much to the family, you made us feel in your home.

Loved the style of the house. It almost felt like a cozy homestay with all amenities in place. There were scrapbooks with all information about the village which was very helpful and thoughtful of the host. Everything in the fridge was free for the guests to have and there were plenty of options. The location is just 10mins walk from the main bus station and the supermarket is just across the street.

Location was perfect, 10 minute walk into Shirakawa village. The owner was so generous and welcoming, the hospitality was exceptional. The beds were quite comfortable and the showers small, but warm, clean and well-stocked. The lunch was very good also. Absolutely a great place to stay.

Great location and easily walkable, with a scenic view of the village from the bus stop. Simply take a bus from Kanazawa Station, but ensure to book in advance during busy seasons. The room was clean, and there was a kitchen where you could cook your food, with a grocery store just a 1-minute walk away. They provided enough groceries to fill your tummy, such as bread, butter, milk, coffee, curry, rice, etc. Highly recommended for the value of money. The main street is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

The property was in a nice location quite close to the UNESCO world heritage site. The room was very clean and comfortable and bathroom well stocked.Also close to Tenkara restaurant which was excellent for dinner.

If you try to find a place to relax this is a place for you! Its was so nice the in a beautiful location! The owner was so friendly and try to help with everything! The bed was comfortable. And the hostel was clean highly recommended!

This is a beautiful place to stay. The food was amazing, the traditional room was great, the views were stunning and the family were absolutely lovely. They even had private onsen baths available which was awesome

Staff is really nice and helpful, room and equipment are good. If you're a light sleeper and you're next to the living room, it can get noisy depending on the guests you are with : maybe set up a "curfew"? Still good location and price, it's worth it to stay on location.

The location is great, within a 15-minute walking distance to the Gassho Village.
The host was friendly and allowed us early check-in, he was also very helpful with our inquiries about the place.
We also loved the comfy beddings, adequate heating, and the en suite toilet and bath.

The hotel location is good. 8 mins walk to restaurant, and 12 mins walk to convenience store.
The room is big and modern, facilities are prepared. Self check-in.
