This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. Thanks Dinesh and Tatta and whole family for a wonderful stay!

This is just the place if you are looking for a beautiful simple accommodation that is directly in nature with ocean. Ramesh and his mother are helpful with everything and make you feel like you are part of their wonderful family. They help you organise your trip and show a full effort to make your stay perfect. The breakfast is amazing, you get a huge portion of fruit, tea coffee, eggs and toast with Sri Lankan rice & curry. The property is in a great location, close enough to the beach. You are surrounded by nature and can see monkeys, squirrels and birds. There are great cafes and restaurants in the area. The family is so lovely and hospitable that you can't help but extend it all the time. They invited us to join traditional family celebrations which allowed a unique insight into the culture. The price is more than justified and I will certainly return to Villa 826 ahungalla on my next stay.

Nilnara Villa was absolutely stunning, spacious, clean and cozy place to stay a few or even more days! It is located a bit away from the (urban) noise with a nice beach (great pool!) but at the same time very close (by tuk tuk/motorbike) to the near villages/cities. The stuff was always there for us and helped in any ways (even took us to the airport) and even the chef cooked us wonderful meals. Our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much!

The most amazing location right on the beach front. We loved staying so close to nature. The host Barbara was amazing and no request was too much trouble. She arranged a special dinner for us on the beach to celebrate our engagement. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. If we’re ever in Sri Lanka again we’ll be coming back for sure!

The location is unbeatable - set amongst the trees just steps from a stunning unspoilt beach. The staff are welcoming and Barbara makes you feel very much at home and helps out with whatever you need. Food was great! Massages amazing! Walkable to the turtle conversation place where we released baby turtles into the sea (go at 5.30 for this.)

One of the best, or probably the best beach front property I have been to in down south Sri Lanka. Everything was exceptional from the point we stepped into the property. Starting with the location, to the rooms, food, hospitality, facilities, luxury, everything was AMAZING! The Operation Manager, F&B Manager, all the waiters and room boys made sure the stay was 100%. Such humble people with great hospitality. Kudos to the whole team, will definitely come back soon.
