My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting hotel for just one night, but the experience was so rejuvenating that it felt like we had spent an entire week on holiday. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their warmth, hospitality, and attentiveness were truly exceptional. It was my birthday that day and they made sure that it felt very special. The massage was on of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the fresh, delicious food was a treat. The hotel's location is truly unique, nestled remotely right next to a stunning waterfall and surrounded by lush green forest. Moreover, the rooms were very comfy and clean, with a relaxing ambience and great design in mind. Thank you to the staff again for great hospitality!

We had the best time staying at the tea cottage! The staff was so attentive and friendly and the golden ice tea on arrival was very tasty. We had both dinner and breakfast at their restaurant and it was delicious. The bungalow was so cozy and we loved the surrounding area with several waterfalls to go swim in, just a short drive away, as well as beautiful hiking! We were the only tourists around and the local people are (as everywhere in Sri Lanka) really helpful and nice. The manager Johan made our stay very special!

Hemantha, the owner and manager of hotel and his son Dulana have built a truly beautiful pearl in the middle of the rainforest. With excellent English, they took care of us and fulfilled all our wishes. This is our fifth time in Sri Lanka, but we visited Kitulgala for the first time during our travels and I can recommend this area to everyone to visit. Waterfalls in the middle of the forest and rafting on the river are among the great experiences that this hotel offers you at a very fair price. And then you can let yourself be pampered in the comfort of the hotel with great food and enjoy a bath in the beautiful natural pool or right in the small clean river that flows around the hotel. Devika (the owner) was absolutely lovely. We would definitely recommend staying here. The view is spectacular. 15mins tuk tuk ride to Laxapana waterfall, which is amazing. Do walk to the bottom. We were the only ones there when we went and it was amazing. Be ready to walk up around 700 steps back. One hour to Gartmore waterfall with great views and the tuk tuk ride takes you through the tea valleys and offers a very scenic route. We asked Devika to cook our dinners and breakfasts ( stayed 3 nights) and it was all lovely . She also arranged all the tuk tuk rides which was fab and saved us a lot of hassle and haggle. She was always happy to help. Rooms are spacious and clean.

New villa, spotless clean. Best wifi so far in Sri Lanka. A very helpful polite and tentative owner and staff. Located in a peaceful and quiet location up the hill, only a 10 minutes walk to the main road uphill and 5 minutes downhill... Plus the breakfast, and especially the coffee was excellent!!!!! The location is simply stunning. Views from the terrace, the pool and the room are incredible regardless of weather. Pool is in a garden setting where the tea bushes meet to edge of the garden. Food good and not unreasonable. Staff very attentive rooms simple and old world charm but all in keeping with the hotels age.

Kithulvilla is a little oasis in the midst of the mountains. Laura and her staff takes good care of the guests at Kithulvilla and cooks great food. We were so happy to stay here, and the view from the nice, cool pool is just outstanding. Laura happily arranged a little snack and tea when we arrived, had planned White water rafting by request and booked a tuktuk for our onward journey from Kithulvilla. We almost felt at home!
