Mahamed and Fatima are the most wonderful hosts, and there is no doubt they enjoy having guests, and want their guests to be as comfortable as possible. They made our stay truly memorable, and I wish we had time to stay longer. I will for sure be back, this place comes highly recommended from me! Surroundings are gorgeous, hiking on every corner, it's quiet and calm, and you will eat like a queen with Fatima's food (she should have a restaurant). I haven't eaten that well in all of Sri Lanka, and it's been my most pleasant stay. If you are into nature, mental relaxation, great food, and slowing down a bit, do make sure to book at least two/three nights with them, and just enjoy!

We are extremely happy to have spent two days at the Capoe house. It was better and more beautiful than we had expected. We were picked up by the Ranger and got a little private Safari tour as he’s an expert of the local animals. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful, and we receive the warm welcome with a High Tea. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful few as well as a big and clean bathroom. As it was Valentine’s Day, they had decorated the bed with flowers and given us a complementary heart shaped cake. There was definitely good and enough food and drinks and outdoors activity, you can for example get a private trip to the near waterfall without extra costs. There was also a yoga mat available and room service at all times.

We loved our stay here, the whole place is beautifully designed and has the most stunning views of tea field and mountains. The rooms are modern and spacious, with a large comfortable bed and large bathroom. Full length windows allow you to take in the amazing scenery and there is a balcony to relax on. The restaurant serves delicious Sri Lankan food, we had dinner here and it was incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling. The owner/manager is passionate about hospitality and has created a beautiful hotel with a focus on design and service and incorporates the traditions and lives of local village residents on a stunning portrait gallery in the dining room.

We had a wonderful stay at leisure mount view. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and made every moment feel special. Our room was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, tasty, and the perfect start to the day. Big room with a high ceiling, clean, comfortable bed, great shower, excellent food. Two brothers that own the hotel are amazingly friendly and helpful. You get a free pick-up from the trainstation (and back). They gave us a free ride to a spa they recommended, which was very relaxing and not expensive. The owners speak English well and gave us information about the hiking trails in the area. We definitely recommend this place. It is a bit more expensive than other places but it is really worth it. We will hopefully visit again.

Exceptionally clean and modern room for a given price. Shower with a door, enough towels, toiletries and beautiful view if you wake up early enough before a mist comes. The lady who takes care of the facilities is very kind, gave me a lot of tips of how to move around and organised a tuktuk tour for the morning. Also she cooks delicious rice and curry. Highly recommend staying here.

Anyone looking for peace and quiet, or planning to hike through the tea plantations or Horton Plains, will feel completely at home here. We stayed in the wonderful Room No. 1, which offers an absolutely beautiful view over the tea fields. Despite heavy rain, the hosts welcomed us warmly with tea and cake — such a lovely gesture. The dinner at the property was also excellent, especially since there are hardly any restaurants in the area. Mr. Perera gave us great, helpful advice for exploring the region. The location is perfect if you want to hike the Pekoe Trail from Ohiya to Haputale. That’s exactly what we did, sending our luggage by tuk-tuk ahead to our next stay in Haputale.
