Subaseth Villa is amazing, deserving a top score of 10/10! This was my second visit after two years, and everything felt just as welcoming, clean, and peaceful as before, maybe even better. Last time, I missed out on experiencing village life, but this time I made sure to explore by asking for a bike. The staff went out of their way to get me one and set up a great bike tour, suggesting cool spots like the big tanks you see around here. It was a highlight of my trip! The local food here is yummy, and they also have different kinds of food if you want to try something new. The location is perfect, close to Wilpattu National Park and the ancient city of Anuradhapura, so you don't have to switch hotels to see both places. For someone like me who's used to city life, it's the best place to stay because it's like a mix of luxury and nature. Whenever I'm in this area, Subaseth Villa is where I'll be, and I recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is set in a romantic garden of coconut palms and has a clean swimming pool big enough to take a few swimming strokes and relax aching legs after a day exploring pagodas and archaeological remains. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, as was the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and tries to ensure a pleasant stay for the guests. There is also a restaurant in the garden, which serves very good breakfast and dinner. We would definitely come back.

Lakmali's home is a real paradise in the Sri Lankan jungle. The rooms are basic but very clean with comfortable beds equipped with a mosquito net. The garden is beautiful, you can see a lot of jungle plants and small animals, and Lakmali's family is incredibly kind!!! They make all things possible to make you feel at home and enjoy tasty food, as well as good company and peaceful moments. 200% recommendation 😍

Amazing location in the country side but near archeological sites, that you can visit by renting a bicycle . Gorgeous swimming pool , excellent foods and nice staff. Very comfortable room with an incredible bathroom and on top of all , the delicate, kind and warm presence of the owner.

Excellent hotel Located in nature But still everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms are beautiful, clean, loud, excellent air conditioning. The pool is really good, located in nature And feels like a spring. The food is excellent. The staff is really good. We stayed in 3 hotels in the city and this is the best hotel by far. A great place for children. Highly recommended for those who want to be in a beautiful place in nature and close to all the historical sites. We had a great experience, highly recommend.

From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. An absolute haven close to the sacred city sites of Anuradhapura. Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
