Great location. Reasonably basic accommodation but there don’t seem to be a lot of options on the island. The meals were good.

Great welcome to Stewart Island. The hosts were very hospitable, let us check in early, took our luggage to the ferry and checked them in for us. Accomodation was fantastic. Great location.

Dinner was awesome - because of location, need to put pāua on the menu (whole - not minced or fritters)

The location has beautiful views. Nestled in the bush and can see and hear all the birdlife. You can teh waves on the beach below.

Lovely self catering facilities. We enjoyed a pasta dish we prepared in the electric frying pan which worked out pretty well and was easy to clean. Enjoyed the location and we were able to let our ten year old walk to the four square on his own and Rakiura is the only place on earth that feels safe enough to do that.
