Absolutely magnificent place to stay! Loved everything about our 2 nights at Ross Beach! We stayed in the 40ft converted Container which was beautiful! The bed was so comfy and the towels etc were 1st class. The outdoor bath was awesome!

Very spacious and homely. Everything was there for a comfy stay. Kitchen, cutlery, etc. Phil was amazing and helpful. Even at 10pm in the night! The place is also motorcyclist friendly which was a pleasant surprise. Only about 15 or so minutes from Hokitika, so not a massive detour if you are taking the western highway!

Amberlea Cottages proved to be one of the best and cleanest accommodations we encountered during our road trip in the South Island. The hosts were exceptionally friendly. The kitchen was equipped with basic, good-quality cookware necessary for our stay. If you plan to stop at Hokitika, I highly recommend booking this place.
