Clean, comfortable, spacious and the kitchen area had all the appliances, crockery and cutlery you need. A small jug of fresh milk was provided at check in, for tea / coffee, a nice touch.

The rooms are big and offer all you need for an overnight stay. The bed is big and everything is very clean. Yet there is a bit of a old smell from the carpet. The parking is right in front of your room, which is very handy. The self check in is supposed to work smoothly, but as we booked last moment we didn't get the code in time and had to wait for about half an hour in front to get a new code. They were nice and let us check out 30min later.

Immaculate. Lovely view. High quality linen, equipment etc and everything spotlessly clean. Great to be able to walk to a restaurant for supper. very helpful owner. Close to lovely beaches. Ideal spot to stop off on journey north.

brilliant, better than expected, they have thought of everything we could have wanted in a small property. we had a 1 bedroom on the edge with a deck that seemed to get a lot of sunshine, great for evening drinks. we also liked Matakana and the whole area

We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.
