The Sand Beach Boutique Hotel is, without a doubt, the best hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar! New hotel built with great taste and with attention to detail. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 11 days in a villa with a private pool. The villas are spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for families and with the advantage of having a private pool! All the hotel staff are impeccable, from the owner to all the employees, as well as the food is always fresh and prepared with dedication. My son had his birthday and he was entitled to a small cake and they sang happy birthday to him, I know he will never forget it. Thank you very much, we loved our stay!

I had a huge desire to come to Zanzibar, I had the chance to come here thanks to my work that let me go in advance to take a few days off. I tried two hotels, Evergren Bungalow and the Park Hyatt in StoneTown. I would choose the Bungalow every time and especially next to Paje which I loved. I think I lived like a dream there, the mix between being with the locals who make you feel extremely well on their island but also the beauty of the place and the sea. I was more than happy to have found Evergreen Bungalow, I had one of the best time of my life. It was very quiet probably due to the February weather, I felt safe (safer in Zanzibar than in London) and the food was wonderful. Within 5 minutes drive you have the town of Paje which offers bars, restaurants and a market.

Absolutely perfect! The hotel is brand new, so everything feels fresh and modern. The pool is stunning, and the location couldn’t be better – right on the beach with easy access to kitesurf spots. The staff are not only friendly and helpful, but also genuinely funny and warm, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. On top of that, the value for money is outstanding. I stayed at Zan Hotel for over a week and was satisfied. Every morning, a delicious, extensive breakfast was served, with choices along the beach or from the panoramic rooftop restaurant, where you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening at a reasonable price. They organize fun activities, such as a henna session, a short village walk with a very local guide, and so on. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. During my first few days, there was construction going on at the hotel, so I got a better price on Booking.com, which seems fair to me. There are several clean swimming pools you can use, with sea views. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the shower is good.
