We were with our 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 9 who delighted in playing in the spacious fields , collecting eggs from the owners farm and visiting the sheep , horses and other animals . They were able to visit the hay loft and were able to use footballs , badminton racquets etc . The property is well connected by bus and train to Zürich city and is 5 minutes away from a fantastic swimming lake called Turlersee with paddleboarding , playground and family restaurant . The nearby Wildnispark is also brilliant for families with many animals in a beautiful natural setting . The owners are kind and thoughtful and considerate of children and did everything they could to make our holiday enjoyable . We were here for the Women’s football Euros and all its frenetic activity and the farmhouse provided a peaceful haven between games. Wine was left by the owners to purchase at a very reasonable price.

Located in Thalwil’s centre, Hotel Sedartis offers rooms with a balcony or a terrace and free Wi-Fi. There is a terrace with a view of Lake Zurich, a massage salon, a golf simulator and a dedicated room for creative work. We booked our stay at the hotel in early October. First off, the location is excellent—just a two-minute walk to the train station, with frequent trains to the city center taking about twenty minutes. By the way, Swiss public transportation runs much more punctually than Germany's. We parked in the underground garage. Since we initially couldn't figure out how to access it, the staff kindly escorted me there. At 18 Swiss francs per day, parking in Switzerland is reasonably priced and very secure. The staff may have forgotten to record our car's number plates, but upon discovering the issue during checkout, they proactively covered the cost and didn't charge us for parking. Their service was truly attentive. Additionally, our room was upgraded without request. It was clean, beautiful and fully equipped. Even with the windows closed during cold weather, train noise was barely audible. Furthermore, the restaurant service was excellent. Overall, we'll definitely book this hotel again when visiting Zurich next time.
