Lijiang Zen Garden Hotel This hotel is beautiful, charming, with a view and is located in the old city, with easy access to Mu House and all the shops in the old city. Although it is located in the old city, it is accessible by car and they kindly picked us up at the airport, which is approximately an hour away from the hotel. The room is spacious, very comfortable with an excellent mattress, bed linen and towels, and a great bathroom with plenty of water, including a bathtub. But the best thing about the hotel is Amber, who speaks English and organized all the tours we did, including personally taking us to a restaurant, helping us choose the dishes and placing our order. Amber is excellent and extremely kind and helpful. Without her, our stay would certainly have been much more complicated. For guests who do not speak Chinese, this hotel has a great advantage. In short, the hotel is 10 out of 10. We were extremely well attended to in everything we asked for.

The friendly front counter lady gave suggestions on places to eat. We tried them and they were all great. The room was clean and comfortable. There’s ceiling heater to keep the shower area warm during winter.

The aparthotel has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. The hotel sevice impressive us since the first day we arrived. We were picked up from the airport. The staff are full of service mind. I have asked them to have a sugar for making my coffee in the room, the hotel owner was running to find it and gave to us keenly. The hotel owner and son has incredibly gentle and helpful. The other staff also helped me to pay to the taxi when we had problem with the payment App. The last day of our stay was so impressive. The hotel owner drove us to the airport and gave us Chinese traditional teas with a big smile. The location is great, near to the night market along the river and hotpot restaurants around. The beds are so comfy and also the bedding wares are good quality. We felt like home in the hotel. Impressive and warm welcome. I definitely recommend this place.

They booked for us and arranged the best tours for the JDSM and Shagri-la at very last minute. The staff members speak good English and that really helps us a lot. The accommodation provides self-service free laundry as well. The room is clean, spacious and heating system works well. Location is very strategic in the ancient town. Please contact the staff upon your arrival so that she can arrange the porter for your luggages. The rooms have amazing views, the communal area is great, food is delicious and he was so helpful organising transport and pick ups. The rice terraces are beautiful and it’s a lovely peaceful place. (With a gorgeous dog who will take you on a walk).

Staff was a lovely guy who stayed up past midnight for my family as we had a transportation delay which caused us to arrive much later than expected. Excellent service. The tea served is from local tea leaves from staff’s friend who owns a tea plantation. Breakfast is always a hearty tasty main with a side of corn or sweet potato. Sometimes there are seasonal fruits bought by staff from the local market. Loved loved loved the warmth of the staff. Requests for additional food were granted, and if you cannot finish your food they also offer containers to pack them for you. Got a suite with two bedrooms, it has a living area with bar countertop and dining table and seats and one time welcome rose tea packs. Was perfect for my family of four.
