A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

We had a really nice stay at the Ollila Farm. Rooms were comfortable and quiet, we slept well. Having a wood-heated sauna in the evening was a real treat. Breakfast was great. The old part of the house where breakfast is served is beautiful. I especially enjoyed listening to native birds living in the area, including Crex crex and Acrocephalus dumetorum.

The lakefront bed and breakfast has views of the garden, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. We really enjoyed our time here. The guesthouse is very clean and beautiful. Especially the sauna with direct access to the lake is amazing. The breakfast was great and hosts were very kind and helpful.

The building is charming and the interior is really cozy. There is vintage wallpaper and beautiful tiled stoves (functioning!) inside. The whole place has a great atmosphere. The host is a very friendly person :) There is a dog as well, she is super cute 🤍 Good breakfast, overall great value for money.

Situated next to Lake Pyhäselkä in North Karelia, Holiday Linnunlahti offer self-catering apartments with a private terrace, sauna and loft. Joensuu city centre is 1 km away. Hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks are found right outside the door. Excellent location close to nature with the gorgeous Linnunlahti beach very close, but at the same time the city center is just a short bike ride away. Very good facilities (including a private sauna!) and friendly service. They rent out bicycles which is really nice for those without a car. It was a really good place to stay with kids.

The B&B is located in a beautiful farm, a neat and very well kept complex of many buildings, gardens, farm facilities, etc., all set in a peaceful lakeside environment. The main building is elegant, welcoming, and so are the owners. The room was a bit small for 3 people, but OK for a short stay. Breakfast was great! It seems in the middle of nowhere, but it takes just 15 drive to downtown. Price is fair. I would stay there again, 100%!!!
