We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

Rosie, the ferocious guard dog (I'm joking 😁) was the highlight of a perfect stay. The owners are kind and helpful, the farm is located on the lake and you can have a swim or also a sauna. The bedroom with bathroom was really nice and with view of the lake. Also the breakfast was really good, and you have free parking on the property.

It offers self-catering accommodation with classic décor, a kitchenette and private bathroom. WiFi and parking are free. The flats are designed very tastefully, with an artist touch. This makes the stay very enjoyable. The house is has historic value (a previous school) and is located on the defense line (during II Word War) against Soviet Union. Thus there is historic spots to see.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Lovely location, lots of space at the cottage with all facilities including a/c, good sauna, really nice terrace for chilling or eat outside. Owner had boat engines, bikes, supboards and more for rent. The lake is very clear and full of fish. There were some mosquitoes and horseflies but not too many. The lake is quite shallow and there are big rocks at the bottom.

Situated next to Lake Pyhäselkä in North Karelia, Holiday Linnunlahti offer self-catering apartments with a private terrace, sauna and loft. Joensuu city centre is 1 km away. Hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks are found right outside the door. This was our second time in Linnunlahti and definitely not the last. Very well decorated cottages, squeaky clean with everything one could wish for (even a MokkaMaker coffee machine 😀). Right next to the skiing tracks and a lake with a lovely beach. Thanks for everything!

Lomamokkila’s accommodation options have wooden floors and private or shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Some include flat-screen TVs, while free WiFi is available throughout the property. Great stay - location was close enough to Savonlinna but not in the town, close to national parks. There's a tennis court and sauna and row boats. Honestly we easily could have stayed for much longer both at and around the property. Also the owner was super helpful and had good recommendations all around the area
