String of Horses lies in the middle of one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Britain: near Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District and the Scottish borders. Lovely pub and bedroom, good food, adorable staff! What's more : it is worth visiting this inn / pub, which is one of the oldest inns in England.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. By far, one of my favourite places to stay! We loved the outdoor terrace, the spectacular views and the genuine staff! Not to mention, great breakfast! Also, loved the idea of having dogs allowed - there were so many around which really added to the wonderful ambience :)

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. amazing location. Wonderful breakfast. rooms are big enough and modern. The hotel is walking distance from the city center. staff are so nice and the balcony is one of the best we have been. We did not want to leave the hotel! will definitely come back.

I read the manual which I’m glad I did because I didn’t know how to get hot water for a brew, it’s the tap which provides it !
