Newington, Edinburgh
Welcome to The Scott, where history intertwines with luxury in the heart of Edinburgh's Southside. Named after Alexander Scott, the esteemed original owner of the magnificent baronial house erected in the 1750s, our hotel echoes history combined with the elegance of today. truly enjoyed my stay at The Scott. The property is beautifully designed in an elegant Scottish style that makes you feel like you’re staying in a small castle — a perfect blend of charm and understated luxury. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the small touches — like the daily treats, cookies, and coffee provided in the room. These little details made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. I would also like to highlight the breakfast — the atmosphere was simply wonderful. The dining room was stunning, the service excellent, and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. There was a nice selection to choose from, and it truly felt like a luxurious start to the day — the perfect way to begin exploring Edinburgh.

We spent four nights here over Christmas, as a family that travels a lot, this was a stay that really stood out. The staff went the extra mile and the attention to detail was unparalleled. From a little robe and slippers for our daughter. Milk and cookies every evening. One detail that I’ve never had before, was our charing cables next to the bed were neatly tied every night. The staff were all tremendous, if there was an option for a 6th star ⭐️ that would’ve been well deserved.

The glamorous Rutland Hotel has stylish rooms, a luxurious late-lounge, and a unique restaurant with a glass wine cellar. It is situated on the West End of Princes Street, with views of Edinburgh Castle. I just really liked the vibe of the room, and their breakfast was in the next door restaurant, which was so much better than most hotel breakfasts.

This recently renovated aparthotel is located 3.3 km from Edinburgh Waverley station and 3.3 km from Edinburgh Playhouse. The aparthotel features family rooms. The apartment was the suite at the top floor. The view to the Leith Gardens was spectacular, it felt like looking at a painting. The building is magnificent, has a classic vibe to it, so well maintained and super clean. From the start we felt like at home in the suite. Extremely clean, enough space for three persons, very comfortable bed, necessary kitchen facilities (please note that the cooking stove is not there due to fire hazards, which makes sense). The location is great too, very quiet and well connected to the center via different alternatives via bus or tram. Close also to the dock. Alexander, the host, was very welcoming and helpful on our first day and constantly ensured we didn’t have any trouble during it stay. What can I say more? I can only recommend this place!

Great location & so much attention to detail. Perfect place to stay.
Great location, near to tram which could bring you to airport and city centre very easily. Great service from the owners. Homey, lovely stay.
Staff were helpful and the guest house was very clean. The breakfast was ok with a choice of either hot or cold food. Have to say the cooked breakfast choice was limited and although the quantity was good it would have been good to have had say bacon rather than sausages every day. Location was excellent with bus stops into city centre outside. A very friendly place to stay.
A perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. Fantastic location with easy access into town. Attentive staff who were so welcoming. The most amazing food fir dinner and breakfast. The room was the best we've ever stayed in. it was clean, spacious and luxurious.
The room had everything you could ask for. The location was perfect. This is the best place to stay in Edinburgh
Location was excellent, safe and quiet neighbourhood, just off The Royal Mile. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk in apartment on arrival. Showers were hot and plenty of fresh towels. Perfect place to stay in Edinburgh.
A comfortable place to stay. Although the location may look out of city centre it is connected by five near bus routes and two to the lively suburb of Leith.
Lovely comfortable, clean room. Staff were super helpful! Breakfast was great. Best location for us as we were there for the Christmas markets. Just an all round lovely stay, in a beautiful hotel. Would happily stay again!
A very lovely place to stay, cosy and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Great location not far from city centre, bus stop nearby, parks and restaurants quite close. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Very helpful host. Thank you, I would love to come again sometime!
