The room was very spacious, had a big bed and a very good fan that definitely cooled the room down enough. The bathroom was simple but worked perfectly and had everything you needed. Mama Lis was the kindest, most caring woman, always looking over my needs, cooking amazing dishes with a lot of variety and always had a very big smile on her face. I felt at home there and would have stayed even longer if I could have. If you want to have breakfast every day overlooking the ocean and the best host I would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was clean, very spacious, had AC, and a fan. The hosts are amazing. They are very, very kind. Mikha is a great cook and there was always more than we could eat. We were sad when we had to leave. We will miss them.

Alvin has built this off-the-grid retreat himself, adding to it each year. He and his staff are caring and helpful. The well laid out grounds are covered in lawns and most if not all tents and cabins have small brick firepits. Alvin can provide the firewood for them. When I was there a number of people sat around these campfires at night singing and playing guitars. No sound amplification is allowed. Some people chose to stay on the grounds for several days. I used it as a jumping off place each morning to tour different parts of the Tomohon area each day., returning each evening.

The terrace upstairs had a lovely view into the jungle. We organised morning and evening tours with Tangkoko Gallery into the national park and Arya was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and brilliant at spotting the wildlife, and remained always professional and respectful of the wildlife. Recommend staying here for your stay in Tangkoko. The food at the restaurant was also great! And plenty of food for breakfast including lots of fruit.
