SeaGate Bungalows — это гостевой дом, расположенный в городе Сабанг. К услугам гостей сад, частный пляж, терраса и ресторан. Best place we’ve ever stayed, cannot recommend it highly enough! The beach 5 meters from the room has some of the best snorkeling we have ever tried. We even saw a sea turtle. Borja is extremely attentive and helpful, and will try to help you regardless of what you need. We stayed in both a deluxe room and later a bungalow. Both are amazing but the bungalow has a bit more privacy. It takes roughly 15 minutes by scooter to get to Gapang Beach where there are diving and freediving schools.

The staff is very kind, they gave free food to us and items for our food. The bungalow is maybe basic, but that's exactly why everyone comes to Bukit Lawang, back to basic! The family bungalow gives you a lot of privacy and constantly seeing monkeys in the trees. On the first evening we spotted an urang utang walking next to our bungalow!

The property was clean and well-located, the staff went above and beyond for us by helping us organize rides and activities, the bed was quite comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was tasty and cheap. With the river running by so close, it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge! The family running the guest house is extremely kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Make sure to bring cash with you, though. As of writing this it’s a cash-only town with the nearest ATM about 7km away.

We arrive at midnight, the owner was super kind, welcome us in a happy and warm mood, we had a late diner at their restaurant, their homemade curry. This is not a joke, it was one of the most tasty and delicious curry in our life. The lodge was super super clean, bed was confortable, sleeped well.

The owner was so kind and the location was perfectly placed in the city, not too loud but not too quiet. I only stayed one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer.

Surrounded by lush paddy fields and overlooking a breathtaking canyon, it’s the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing breakfast made the experience unforgettable. Truly a hidden gem in Padang! but what truly stood out was the breakfast, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The team’s warm hospitality made the experience even more delightful.

We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team.
