It was raining during my visit, thankfully the house is very cozy to stay indoors. The host’s family set up a cafe on random weekends in the space, and I hope I will have time to enjoy it someday!

The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

A nice house with 3 rooms, 2 toilets and 1 shower/bath. The house is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I felt like a guest at a friend's house. The location is very convenient, close to the attractions in the south and west of the island. I chose to have breakfast and dinner for the two days I stayed there and everything was freshly prepared and delicious. The best part of my stay had to do with the gracious hospitality of Yuki. Shortly after I booked, Yuki contacted me and offered helpful information about my stay and the importance of having a rental car. She even reserved a rental car for me when I could not find one myself, and she did not charge a fee. After I arrived, Yuki offered nice suggestions for things to do in Yakushima, all of which I took advantage of and had a wonderful time. Yuki even lent me her sarong so I could enjoy the hot spring pools by the sea. She also helped me call and cancel my ferry reservation after I changed my plans. I was so glad that I stayed at blue drop during my first two stays in Yakushima; it was a great start to my vacation. I highly recommend this beautiful place!

The girl who checked us in was very friendly and had very clear explanations for everything! She really helped us when we were ill-prepared for the Jomon Sugi hike, which we appreciated a lot! There were complimentary welcome drinks and a dessert on the second day which were delicious. The cabin was clean with all the facilities you could need, plus there was a hose in the front yard for you to clean your hiking shoes. The morning view from the deck was also amazing! Note the accommodation is about 15 minutes drive south of Anbo, so it is a bit out of the way of the main attractions, but it wasn't a big deal as we enjoyed the peace.

Location is close to the Ferry Jet foil port, restaurants to eat out or Grocery store near the port, souvenirs shops and an Outdoor store for any hiking/outdoor needs in Anbo area. Comfortable space with in-house clothing, shared bathroom, showers and laundry. Pamphlets of information. Host will help with any question. Overall, it was a peaceful comfortable stay 👍👍

Satomi was the best hostel host I’ve ever had. She was so helpful and thoughtful. She did her best to ensure every guest had an unforgettable trip including making a cake for one of the guests birthdays to making onigiri if you were doing a long hike.
