The location is really close also to the lake, and the main street to explore during the day. Futon was really comfortable, and they provided a kotatsu since it was really cold outside. It was a dreamy traditional japanese stay.

Close to the tram stop and about 15 min walk to the Nagasaki station. Very happy with our stay

Room was super clean and modern and felt very luxurious. Free beer in the lobby was awesome. Good location close to everything in Kannawa. On-site onsens were really nice. Staff was great.

We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.
