The apartment is great - every detail has been thought through, the quality of the finishes is outstanding but it's the view that we will remember the most. The apartment is high up a cliff and you feel in the middle of nowhere but yet it's an easy walk to the nearby beach or a bus to Shimoda. We enjoyed the BBQ facility for a cooked breakfast as well as the sauna after a long day walking. We didn't see much of the staff during the stay because there was easy self check in but when we accidentally left something behind in the room they were quick to help arrange for it to be sent to our next stop. We would love to stay again.

We have never experienced this kind of luxury in our lives….. this place and environment totally blew our minds! We had te luxury to stay in the villa, and exceeded all our expectations. The views, the pool, the sauna, the hotspring tub, the fireplace, the BBQ… it was more than enough to really end our holiday totally relaxed! We were supposed to go to Tokyo the last 3 days of our holiday, but we where glad that we canceled that, and went to Shikuoka instead! The falls and wasabi fields and hikes nearby were great excursions, and then come back to the villa was a real dream! Also there were no other guests, so we had the whole place for ourselves…. This place would make an amazing location for a murder mystery show. The staff are so helpful and appear to pop up out of thin air to assist. The French restaurant is silver service and the food is exquisite. For a Japanese hotel, the rooms are enormous with an expansive view of Mt Fuji.

Quiet location at the end of the row of shops but within walking distance to the train station and shopping area. Complimentary parking for hotel guests with ample parking across the the street with an outdoor and elevator parking system. Amazing breakfast spread with many choices to choose from and children’s cutlery provided. There is also a limited amount of curry rice at the lounge in the evenings. Indoor and outdoor Natural Onsen on the top floor with a coin laundry room and vending machines. The tv in the room has information on the congestion situation at the onsen. There is also a pillow room on certain floors with different types of pillows you can choose from. Rooms are spacious and guests are given a nice toiletry pouch that you can bring back. Two sets of lounge wear and 2 sets of towels are provided. One of the better types of hair dryer provided by a hotel. Overall the attention to detail and facilities provided makes it a great place to stay. Will definitely choose to stay here again if we’re in Shizuoka again.

This was our first Japanese Ryokan /Onsen experience, and what an experience it was. The moment you arrive you feel extremely well looked after. The rooms are beautiful, each having a different aspect/perspective of the traditional courtyard gardens & each with their own Onsen . Little extra touches like a hand made flower arrangement for you to enjoy were a welcome surprise. With the property situated on the outer edge of the town it's a short walk (5-10mins) that takes you into the extremely picturesque town/village. This walk is actually a benefit as it gives a chance to see all of the town, which you may miss if staying central. We weren't sure what a breakfast in a Japanese Ryokan would entail. My advice is make sure you are hungry as you won't want to miss this! Staying at this property honestly provided one of the best experiences we've had while visiting Japan. We feel extremely privileged to have been able to create some great memories and share some time together as a couple here.
