The room was really spacious, the bathroom too. The breakfast was good, Moses who was managing the place is very kind and helpful. It's very close to the pier and it was easy to reach.

Absolutely beautiful traditional house with a beautiful pool. A lot of plants make it round. The staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was also amazing! We will definitely stay there again.

Ambience, Ben was available to assist with anything needed, good hospitality. Gorgeous house with amazing swahili flair, lovely hosts. Seems like they contribute to the Lamu community in a big way, they are well known and loved with everyone I spoke to. Hotel staff will help you organize any outing you‘d like, I can recommend Dhow trips, but they also help with other activities (plus reasonable pricing recommendations). Eco friendly facilities and the breakfast is amazing with ingredients sourced almost exclusively from their own Lamu farm.

Boasting quiet street views, Ajooba House offers accommodation with terrace, around 300 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Guests staying at this guest house have access to a balcony. Riyadha Mosque is 600 metres from the guest house. The location was great! The room is comfortable and good value for money and the rooftop was very nice.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property and 18th Century Swahili House Museum is 200 metres away. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

Swahili Dreams Apartments is set in Lamu, 200 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum, 400 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from Lamu Fort. Located around 700 metres from Gallery Baraka, the apartment is also less than 1 km away from Riyadha Mosque. The best stay ever!!! I couldn't believe that the place is exactly as in photos. In person it's even better. The staff as well are welcoming, very helpful with tours and they keep the place clean. I enjoyed the pool a lot!!

It was such a fun stay and different than all our other hotels on our trip. Totally recommend the 3rd floor room because it has its own balcony. The breezes in the morning out there were incredible. Jamhuri was a great host and helped us book a walking tour and sunset dhow. Will be back!
