We saw monkeys in the trees, and peacocks roaming around the property. The food was really delicious. Home cooked, healthy, and tasty. The owner was there during our stay and we enjoyed getting to know him. He has so much experience and knowledge about the area, and was very accommodating to us. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The upgrades are fantastic: a beautiful new swimming pool, a gorgeous new restaurant area, and lovely updates to the rooms and backyard. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent and so attentive. A special thanks to the manager, Anu, who went above and beyond to check on us and attend to all our needs, making us feel incredibly valued. With all the amazing improvements and the incredibly warm service, it truly felt like a second home. We will definitely be coming back again. This place has tuned into a real hidden gem!

Afterwards, we went with Rajew and a friend to a hidden waterfall that only locals know about. We had the entire place to ourselves and were able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere for a long time. Later, we visited his friend’s home and shared a delicious meal together. The rooms were very clean and beautifully furnished, and the value for money was absolutely outstanding. It was a truly special experience, full of warmth and genuine connection. We are deeply grateful to Ruwan from the bottom of our hearts!

Where do I start! everything was beautiful from the calm garden inside the nature to the most poetic looking river, the room was huge and specially made for safari vibes. Each one of the staff was super nice and friendly thanks to (Mr. Reihen, Mangala, Mangula) for making our stay very special. The food and the starry calm night were amazing. We went on a safari trip with Mr. Reihen who was a professional guide and photographer, the tour was almost private, one car only. We went to zone 5 which only 20-30 safari cars were there so we could really enjoy the trip. We were very lucky to see many animals specially the beautiful leopard.

They also asked us each evening what we’d like for breakfast – such a lovely touch – and it was always fresh and delicious. The facilities were great, the vibe was peaceful, and we couldn’t fault a thing. Highly recommend if you want something welcoming, clean, and well-run!

When we arrived, we were faced with a closed gate, but within seconds the owner arrived. After checking in, we entered the room – perfect! A nice big bed, a clean and spacious bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and everything you could need! After having a little chat, the hotel owner asked about our plans. We mentioned that we came for the nature and tranquility, and without hesitation, he offered to show us around the area. This was the start of an experience we will never forget. 🙏 First, we went to a small waterfall, very local with no tourists – just some local youngsters hanging out who even offered us a beer. Then he took us to Diyaluma Falls – what a massive waterfall that was! He offered us lunch, which he had made himself! A sandwich we’ll never forget; it was incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, where the owner introduced us to Buddhism. The place was surrounded by nature – trees, plants, birds – pure enjoyment. We thought we were heading back to the hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth. We visited real monks, where we received blessings and a white bracelet from an elderly monk. They also offered us boiled corn – so tasty! After the visit, we continued back to the hotel. On the way, we ran into a friend of the owner, who invited us to their home. When we arrived, the whole family was there to meet us. What kind and friendly people! They offered us tea and chocolate biscuits, and my girlfriend even received a gift! It gave us such a happy feeling, something we will cherish forever. ❤️ Then it was time to head back to the hotel – or so we thought. Instead, we went elephant spotting! Yes, you read that right – real wild elephants! It got quite late, but we spotted several wild animals, including both a male and female elephant. This, too, will stay with us forever.
