Free bikes to use. Delicious breakfast! It's an excellent and peaceful location with a beautiful view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you come to Udawalawe. HOW TO GET THERE: If you're coming by bus from Thanamalwila, insist the busdriver to stop at the busstop of Udawalawe Hydro Power Plant at the mainroad, it's a 30min walk from there. Otherwise the busdriver seems to drop off all tourists at the junction which is 4km away, collaborating with the tuktuks as you have no other option than to take an overpriced tuktuk. If you travel onward to Embilipitiya, the busstop is just a 5 min walk from the mainroad of the accomodation. Turn left and walk to the bridge. It's the starting point of the bus to Embilipitiya, where you can take another bus to the south/Tangalle.

The dinners were great tasting and well presented. I was welcomed warmly and treated very kindly during my 2 night stay. The hotel arranged transport for me to and then from the hotel with a great local driver, Posheeter. The safari tour they arranged was with a great guide Nishander, he seemed very experienced and I saw lots of elephants, monkeys, mongeese, deer etc. The pool was clean and a comfortable temperature.
