We had two amazing days on safari which was arranged by the hotel - the food they packed for our trip was also great. To top it all off - I was celebrating my birthday while staying and the team even arranged a surprise cake for me! Thanks so much!!

Bandaranaike International Airport is 134 km from the property. We had a wonderful stay at Raalmadu Wilpattu. The safari experience was absolutely amazing, and the natural surroundings made it truly special. The hotel manager, Kuma, took excellent care of us and always made sure we felt welcome and looked after. The room was simple and rustic, but that’s exactly what you would expect in the middle of the jungle — it added to the charm and authentic feeling of the place. The only small downside was that the private pool next to our room wasn’t usable at the time. However, they are currently building a larger pool, and we are sure it will be fantastic once it’s finished. Overall, we can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable safaris!

The place was exceptional. It was clean, spacious and well presented. the staff and the service was exceptional and well exceeded my already high expectations.

The staff and service was what stands out the most, they do their best to ensure you are always safe and clean. It's on the expensive side but what you are paying for is the extensive knowledge of the guide on the safari which is missing in other places. We have both learnt a lot about different animals and behaviours on this safari and it's an experience that will stay with us forever

The location was super calm and you can enjoy the sunset over the rice fields. It was very easy to arrange the half day safari with the hosts.

The rooms are clean, comfy and the bathrooms are spacious. The aircon is icy cold and the pool area is awesome, beautiful views from the pool and can enjoy the sunset there. The hotel can help with the safari booking, and they provide a complete breakfast packed into a box for the guests to take on the safari and eat during. The staff were very attentive, they provided us with water bottles on request and modified the food to suit our needs upon request. There is a wonderful restaurant attached to the hotel from which the food was great, there is varied options including western and traditional foods.

Secluded, overlooking paddy fields. Delicious and authentic Sri Lankan food. Ranil and his team undertook one of the largest study of Sloth Bears so they know a thing or two when it came to the safari. We spent a day ticking off the most wonderful array of wildlife. We were here as a family and couldn’t be more happy.
